During a press conference at the Gamescom event in Germany, Sony revealed the PS4 will launch in North America on November 15, and Nov. 29 in Europe. The console will sell for $399.

Like Microsoft's Xbox announcement earlier in the day, Sony ended its press conference with one of the most important details: the PlayStation 4 will retail for $399 when it ships this holiday season. This price tag puts the PS4 at a full $100 less than the Xbox One.
The Playstation 4 also will play used games and wil not require an online connection to play single-player games.
Games announced for the system include Killzone: Shadow Fall, Infamous: Second Son, Driveclub, Kingdom Hearts III, and Mad Max.

The Xbox One will cost $500 at retail when it launches in November, Microsoft announced at its E3 press conference today. For comparison, the Xbox 360 launched in 2005 and cost $400 for a 20GB model, or $300 for the "Core" model.
Games announced for the system include Halo 5, Quantum Break, Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza 5, Sunset Overdrive, and Killer Instinct.

Microsoft Corp gave the world a first look at its new Xbox One on Tuesday, announcing that its first gaming console in eight years will come with exclusive video and software content, including a "Halo" series produced by Steven Spielberg.
The new device interacts with a television, responds to voice and gesture commands, and includes Skype video calling, 15 exclusive game titles and original programming content.

The Walt Disney Company and Electronic Arts Inc. today announced a new multi-year exclusive licensing agreement to develop and publish globally new games based on Star Wars characters and storylines. Under the agreement, EA will develop and publish new Star Wars titles for a core gaming audience, spanning all interactive platforms and the most popular game genres, while Disney will retain certain rights to develop new titles within the mobile, social, tablet and online game categories.

"Way of the Dogg" is a fighting/rhythm game in which you time your button presses to match the music in order to fight off your enemies. Each level is based around a different Snoop track. "They've incorporated the journey of my own personal reincarnation as Snoop Lion into my character, the environments and the path that players have to follow."
"Way of the Dragon" is due later this year for XBLA, PSN, iOS and Android.

Beyond: Two Souls, Quantic Dream's PS3 game about a superpowered Ellen Page, will be out October 8, Sony announced today. Joining the stable of actors to have their faces Uncanny Valleyed into the game is Willem Dafoe, who will play scientist Nathan Dawkins.
